Jacob Sloman is a native of Dallas, Texas, and a 2007 graduate of the Senior Fellows Honors program in the School of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film. While he has long been committed to filmmaking and earned his degree in film with a concentration in screenwriting, Jacob also has a strong interest in photography. In 2004, he was one of five national finalists for Presidential Scholar in the Arts in photography. His main activity as a photographer has been in documentary and portrait work. Jacob has, nevertheless, spent some time on commercial and fashion sets and would like to explore all that photography has to offer. A member of the weekly Italian table at the University of Texas, a former student at UT in Rome, and a member of the Italian Club of Dallas, Jacob is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. He also has some command of French, Swedish, and Sicilian.
