Hi my name is Tommy Herd and I am a 23 year old fashion model living in Milan, Italy but originally from Los Angeles, California. The path I have taken to get where I am at has been anything but straightforward. I was born in Santa Monica, CA and grew up in Los Angeles until I was 11. I developed a passion for ice hockey at an early age and even moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada by the time I was 11 to pursue it full time. I played 5 years in Canada, at which point I moved once again back to the united states. I played on two national teams there, traveled and played in the Czech Republic, and then got a scholarship to play at Deerfield Academy. I had a great year at Deerfield, although I sustained two very bad concussions at the end of the year. Nevertheless, upon graduation in 2007, I got a significant grant to play varsity NCAA division 3 at Bowdoin College. I played my first two years there, doing very well, up until I received my last and final concussion half way through sophomore year. I lost hockey and my past identity that year, but all was not doomed. Luckily I was discovered by my mother agent, David Todd at Nous Models in Los Angeles. He has since placed me with the best agencies across the world and I have been lucky enough to shoot for the likes of Ralph Lauren, American Eagle, Style Magazine, and V Man in the last few years. I have lived in New York, Paris, and Milan the last few years and have traveled extensively for both work and leisure.
